December 2020 - A Good End to the Year
The year ended all too quickly, but with a flurry of different activities...college sessions, graduations, and a Christmas party for 225 village children. The best present we could give them was the Gospel presentation and a hot meal. There is also a Christian school with over 700 Masaai children we were introduced to in November. About 300 of their children are too poor to be able to afford a school uniform (required), so we had a couple generous donors who stepped up to ensure they were able to start in 2021 with a little more self-confidence and the ability to focus on their education better.

Fall 2020 - The Many Facets of Ministry
We returned to work in October and began with graduations, conferences, home visits, new program classes, missionary gatherings, and seminars. This is what we love!

Summer 2020 - Family Visits & Church Updates
June and most of July were spent visiting family, and then beginning to speak at churches to provide ministry updates. We're hoping to have more ministry photos in August as the work in Tanzania will resume then. Enjoy!

March/April 2020 - Shutting Down and Spring Rains
With the COVID-19 pandemic coming in the middle of March, we had to quickly wrap up 2 graduating college classes in order to comply with a government shutdown of all schools/universities. We were not able to allow any spectators/guests at the events, but we tried to make them as special as possible for these students. It was actually a couple of the most meaningful graduations we've had. In addition, the spring rains have arrived and are pretty heavy, affecting many of our staff. And finally, some of our staff are sending us family pictures to ensure we don't forget them while we are separated, and we passionately think, "How could we ever?!"

February 2020 - To Israel and Back!
We returned to Tanzania at the beginning of the month and jumped right back into work, but we were also making final preparations to take our team of 15 Bible college instructors to Israel from the 18th-29th. There was a lot to accomplish, amid a LOT of excitement. Everyone had a great time, and it is something we are sure will leave a lasting impression on them!

January 2020 - Family and Work
We had a busy month with many family and church visits. In addition, Jim spent 10 days attending his seminary program in Birmingham AL. We also experienced the loss of a family member--Janice's brother-in-law, Larry Grannis, but we also had joy in moving Jim's mom, Virginia, into her own place in a senior living community which she had been looking forward to. This seemed like a very short visit home, but the Lord always seems to grant us the ability to experience so many important aspects of life in such a short time.
